Abstract

One of the leading causes of death for individuals worldwide is coronary artery disease (CAD). According to reports from the World Health Organization (WHO), lifestyle changes might prevent almost 80% of cardiovascular illnesses. Cardiovascular risk factor prevention and management, invasive and non-invasive coronary revascularizations, medication adherence, and routine outpatient follow-ups are all part of managing coronary artery disease (CAD). In contrast to therapeutic clinics, nurse-led clinics were designed to primarily provide patients psychological assistance, information, preventative measures, and support. The participation and implications of nurses in the primary and secondary prevention and treatment of cardiovascular illnesses are the main topics of our study. Interventional cardiology relies heavily on nurses. Additionally, they play important roles in the treatment of heart problems such atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and heart transplantation. The use of a nurse-led teleconsultation approach is also becoming more popular these days. As a result, clinical practice should adopt a nurse-led approach to the treatment of patients with cardiovascular illnesses. The impact of nurse-led clinics on the long-term care and management of patients with cardiovascular disorders should be further investigated in light of therapeutic advancements.
