Abstract

Combining machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way healthcare works, and telepharmacy is becoming an important new way to care for patients from a distance. Telepharmacy services use digital technology to provide pharmacy knowledge to people who aren't physically present. This allows for important healthcare services including managing prescriptions, keeping track of medication adherence, and advising patients. As the need for remote healthcare solutions grows, machine learning and artificial intelligence are changing telepharmacy by making it more efficient, increasing patient outcomes, and tailoring treatment to each individual. AI-powered technologies make complicated tasks like managing inventories, checking prescriptions automatically, and analyzing medication interactions easier on a larger scale. Predictive models look at elements that are unique to each patient to suggest the best therapies. This cuts down on mistakes and makes clinical decision-making better. Machine learning algorithms also improve real-time monitoring of drug adherence, giving pharmacists and other healthcare professionals useful information about how patients are acting. Telepharmacy services that use ML and AI are helping to solve problems like getting medications to people in areas that don't have enough of them and the growing number of chronic conditions that need constant monitoring. For example, AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants are making it possible for patients to get help 24 hours a day, which leads to better adherence and illness management. Even with these improvements, there are still problems, such as worries about data privacy, following the rules, and making sure everyone can use digital health tools. This research looks at how ML and AI may change telepharmacy by looking at successful uses, new trends, and obstacles to wider use. Healthcare stakeholders can make the most of telepharmacy's potential to change the way remote patient care is delivered and fill in gaps in healthcare delivery by helping people understand these technologies better.
