Abstract

This research thoroughly examines the complex ethical ramifications associated with the incorporation of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) into Chinese psychological practice. The rise in interest in holistic health has led to the use of CAM methods in psychology. This confluence reveals a complex web of ethical dilemmas. This research conducts a thorough and precise analysis of fundamental ethical concepts, emphasizing the essential obligations to public welfare, protection from possible damage, and the preservation of human autonomy. The investigation reveals complex issues related to transparency, the complexity of responsibility, the subtleties of informed consent, and the risks of possible exploitation. In light of these complications, the report recommends strategic actions, including promoting inter professional cooperation, stimulating governmental efforts, and adopting qualitative approaches. The research highlights the urgent need for a responsible and judicious integration that guarantees the provision of comprehensive and patient-centered treatment, while adapting to China's ever-changing mental health environment. By systematically examining these ethical elements, the integration of CAM becomes a crucial element of a comprehensive and inclusive mental health paradigm.
