Abstract

Global virtual teams (GVTs) sometimes encounter difficulties in dispersed decision-making owing to varied multicultural communication styles and evolving team dynamics. This research examines the developing patterns of switching behaviors and multicultural communication styles within Global Virtual Teams (GVTs), emphasizing their impact on decision-making processes. Through the examination of case studies and communication logs, we discern significant trends in the adaptation of communication styles and methods among team members to meet the cultural and contextual requirements of remote contexts. The results show that successful teams are able to flip between different cultures easily, which helps them come to an agreement and work together.

The research also shows how important cultural intelligence and being able to change how you communicate are for reducing misunderstandings and improving group decision-making. The findings provide a framework for enhancing GVT performance via targeted interventions and training initiatives.
