Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate whether or not there is a correlation between students' attitudes toward mathematics and their level of achievement in mathematics. In this study, a correlational research design that did not involve any experiments was adopted. After doing data analysis with Mean and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation, it was discovered that the level of attitude towards mathematics is moderate, and the level of student success is high. This was discovered through the utilization of a questionnaire that had been modified and validated. Additionally, it was discovered that the attitudes that students have toward mathematics do not have a significant correlation with the achievement of the students. The conclusion that was reached was that the student's academic achievement is quite excellent, and that the attitude that they have towards mathematics is also fairly clear. In their recommendation, the researchers suggested that future researchers conduct a study on other factors that may affect students' attitudes but were not included in this study. Additionally, they suggested that future researchers conduct the same research in a different context, location, or culture; use different research designs; involve more respondents; and broaden the scope of the study.
