Abstract

The rapid growth of information and telecommunication technologies has had a big effect on healthcare delivery in many countries. But because of where they live and how many people live there, people in rural areas and towns sometimes have trouble getting to healthcare facilities. Tele pharmacy is a newer idea that refers to the provision of pharmaceutical services. It lets a qualified pharmacist provide healthcare services like medication review, patient counseling, and prescription verification to patients who are far away from a hospital, pharmacy, or healthcare centre. Telepharmacy has many clear benefits, such as making it easier for people in remote and rural areas to get healthcare, saving money, making patients happy by giving them access to medications and information in rural areas, providing effective counseling to patients, and making it easier to find local pharmacists and pharmacy services. Telepharmacy is a terrific idea, but it may be hard to make it work in real life. There are legal problems and risks that come with using these methods that need to be dealt with. It takes a lot of time, work, and money to set up telepharmacy (hardware, software, connection, and operating costs). The expense of telepharmacy services seems to be one of the main problems for rural hospitals with fewer patients. Also, it is still hard to carry out and put into place a complete and consistent telepharmacy legislation. But a well-thought-out system may modify the way pharmacies work in a way that helps both rural areas and the hospitals or stores that provide these services.
