Abstract

This paper's goal is to provide a framework for comprehending, forecasting, and managing the variables influencing employee engagement in the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) public sector.

Design/methodology/approach: The study reviews the literature on employee engagement and offers a conceptual framework that practitioners may use to inspire and engage workers toward the expansion and sustainability of their organizations. A framework for employee engagement was created in accordance with the literature-based study, showing how employee motivation mediates the relationship between the leader, team, perceived organizational support, and organizational culture. Research limits and implications: The study's examples of employee engagement are appropriate for use in the UAE public sector. The impact of the suggested framework and hypotheses should be determined by more empirical research. The research integrates employee engagement variables into a framework that practitioners may use to find treatments that will help firms engage and retain talented workers. Originality/value: This study offers a thorough framework that aids in the conceptualization of employee engagement and will assist scholars and practitioners in comprehending the root reasons of disengagement in businesses.
